About H.E.A.R. Worldwide
Improving Access to Hearing Care
H.E.A.R. Worldwide was founded after experiences that highlighted the barriers many individuals face when trying to access hearing care.
Through outreach initiatives in underserved communities, including work in Africa, founder Dr. André Marcoux witnessed firsthand how hearing loss can affect communication, education, and quality of life. He also saw the profound impact that hearing care can have on individuals, families, and communities.
These experiences inspired the creation of H.E.A.R. Worldwide—a Canadian registered charity dedicated to improving access to hearing care through hearing aid recycling, charitable support, and community partnerships.
Today, H.E.A.R. Worldwide works to give donated hearing aids a second life while supporting initiatives that help make hearing care more accessible both locally and internationally.
What H.E.A.R. Means
H.E.A.R. stands for the four principles that shape our work:
Hearing
Improving access to hearing care and hearing technology for individuals and communities in need.
Education
Supporting learning, outreach, and the sharing of knowledge about hearing health.
Awareness
Increasing awareness of hearing loss and the importance of accessible hearing care.
Rehabilitation
Helping individuals reconnect with family, friends, and community through better hearing.

Looking Ahead
As H.E.A.R. Worldwide grows, we are committed to expanding our hearing aid collection efforts, developing meaningful partnerships, and supporting initiatives that improve access to hearing care for those who need it most.
By giving donated hearing aids a second life, we can help create new opportunities for communication, connection, and participation in everyday life.
While our work continues to evolve, our mission remains the same: improving access to hearing care and helping more individuals experience the life-changing benefits of better hearing.
